Douglas College Research Day is an event that occurs annually in April at which students showcase their hard work and discoveries, from an individual or group research project.
This year, we will be moving the event online and highlighting student research and project for a full week from May 3rd to 7th, 2021.
Students are invited to create interactive presentations to display their research and record a short presentation with a member of the Student Life team to share their findings. These interviews will be featured during Research Week and then live on the Student Life YouTube channel for future viewing.
The interview is a great opportunity for you to practice your presentation skills and it also gives other students, faculty and staff to hear about your exciting work! As in the past, we are also able to print your research poster if you require it for your course or for future presentations.
We recognize the time you are putting in to your projects as well working with us to create the videos so each participant will receive a gift card as a token of our appreciation.
If you are interested in participating or have more questions about the event, contact Erica McKeddie at email@example.com
Registration will open on March 2nd – stay tuned to this site as well as our social channels for more information!
Student research work can be found in the DOOR (Douglas Open Repository) on the Library site.
We received video submissions in 2020 which you can view below:
