Supply chains are the steps needed to get goods to consumers, from extracting raw resources to manufacturing, distribution, retail sales and finally to the end user. A well-functioning supply chain can make or break a business. And for a global company – like Amazon, Toyota or Walmart – these chains can be incredibly complex.
In this two-year program, you’ll gain the experience and skills to effectively diagnose problems and develop strategic plans for a successful global supply chain operation. You will study how global supply chains are set up; how to work with international suppliers; how to maintain optimum efficiency in the production, inventory control and delivery of goods in the international marketplace; marketing; international business management and more.
Prepare for roles managing global supply chains in Canada or abroad with the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in International Supply Chain Management.
Upon graduation, you’ll have the preparatory knowledge and training to take the exams for the internationally recognized industry certifications American Production and Inventory Control Society - Certified in Production and Inventory Management (APICS – CPIM), CSCP and Lean Six Sigma, as well as for the industry-recognized FITT Diploma in International Trade.
The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in International Supply Chain Management prepares you to take on such jobs as warehouse manager, distribution manager, production plant manager, inventory planner and logistics supervisor. Most supply chains are global in nature, so the international business management focus of this program will position you to find work in other countries or more successfully interact with international suppliers and colleagues while working locally.
