The BOE Program is designed for students with disabilities or barriers to education and employment.
Program Options
The BOE Program trains students for employment in three industry sectors:
Program at a Glance
It is a self-paced program, and enrols new students throughout the year whenever space is available. Students take approximately 10 months to complete the program. In the lab students are provided with individualized, hands-on training to acquire relevant industry skills. In the classroom students practice employment and communication skills.
Hands-On Experience
Practicum placements are generally four weeks in length. Students must complete at least two successful practicums in order to graduate. Program staff provide on-site training and support to students and employers during this time. On-campus training typically takes place Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM. For some students, half-time attendance can be arranged. The students' shifts while on practicum will depend on the employers' schedules.
