The Office Administration Certificate Program prepares students for administrative support positions such as secretary, executive secretary, administrative assistant, executive assistant, and sales assistant. Students take courses in accounting, business communications, administrative procedures and keyboarding. They also work with other students as part of a team, a dynamic that may reflect their future work environment. This program includes a three-week practicum.

Graduates of the Administrative Assistant Certificate Program work in technical and administrative support positions, such as secretary, executive secretary, administrative assistant, executive assistant, professional assistant, sales assistant, marketing assistant and research assistant.
Graduates can choose to complete another year of studies at Douglas College to earn an Office Administration Diploma. The diploma transfers to Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Entrepreneurial Leadership.
